Will Pilot ERP run on a Mac?
,Solutions for Mac owners with an Intel-based Mac computer could be to run Bootcamp, or use virtualization software such as VMWare or Parallels:
http://www.apple.com/macosx/compatibility/
http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/
http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/
Bootcamp is Apple's solution and requires the Mac owner to have OS X 10.6 and for the user to restart their machine into the Windows operating system. The
other two solutions run while the computer is within the Mac operating system. Each of these three solutions requires the customer to purchase a full copy of
Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, 8 & 10.

How is annual licensing handled?
If you purchase a Pilot ERP system, we will never turn the software off, and you are free to use it for as long as you wish to do so. Your initial purchase entitles
you to a full year of program updates and support. Thereafter, the license renews at 15% of the original system price. Renewing the license entitles you to continued software updates and technical support. If you choose not to renew the license, you will no longer receive software updates, but support is still
available per incident, paid with a credit card.

Do I have to use Pilot’s Accounting System?
No. Although Pilot ERP has a fully integrated Accounting package that provides all of the basic functionality required to run a business financially, our Accounting
Interface is designed to allow companies to use Pilot for inventory control, purchasing, manufacturing, etc., but feed this data automatically to other Accounting systems, including QuickBooks and Peachtree.

Does Pilot ERP provide customer references?
No. We keep the names and contact information of our customers confidential. We strive to give companies evaluating our software every opportunity for an in-depth analysis of the system. This includes the ability to download and work in a fully-functioning copy of Pilot, as well as unlimited pre-sale access to our Sales and Support staffs via email, phone or personal Web demos.
Can Pilot be hosted remotely or moved to “The Cloud”?
Yes, absolutely! More and more companies are balking at the expense (and headaches) of maintaining their own computer hardware and network. You can
access your Pilot system anytime, anywhere. For more information and pricing, please contact us.

What are the minimum requirements for terminal services on a hosted Pilot ERP application?
We have found that simple allocation of bandwidth at the local level (your ISP) can be based off of a simple set of variables. Please use the following variables (based on a per user basis) to calculate your bandwidth needs:
Low Volume and Low Graphical Programs
-56-64kbit is a commonly used value in these calculations. (Examples include: MS Access, Pilot ERP Software, QuickBooks, MS Dynamics NAV, etc.)
High Volume and High Graphical Programs
-With graphics intense applications please use 128-256kbit. (Examples include: Web-based Applications, MS SharePoint, MS Dynamics CRM, etc.)
Example:
Let’s say that you had 10 Pilot users. You would need bandwidth that was equal to 640 K of bandwidth. Typical home DSL lines offer 1.5 Mb Download and 800Mb Upload. Typical Business DSL lines offer 4 Mb Download and 2 Mb Upload. This assumes that everyone is working on the network at one time (this does not apply to most companies). As a general rule, Terminal Services or Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) uses only a small amount of bandwidth.

We would like to use Ship Rush to integrate our shipments and freight charges into Pilot ERP. Do we purchase Ship Rush through Pilot ERP Software?
No. Ship Rush is sold and licensed directly through Z-Firm, the company that develops and supports Ship Rush. There is nothing that you need to do in your Pilot program, aside from purchasing and installing Ship Rush. You can contact Ship Rush via email at info@zfirmllc.com, or via telephone at (206) 812-7874 .
For UPS shippers, please be aware that Pilot users need to purchase Ship Rush UPS Pro. Ship Rush UPS Pro requires that you have a daily pickup service account. A daily pickup UPS account is currently a requirement to even setup the software, even if shipments will be Collect or Third Party Billing. This is a UPS, not a Pilot or Ship Rush, requirement.
